General Regulations

1. 1 The entire library facility is primarily intended for the students and staff of the college.
2. 2 Personal belongings are strictly prohibited inside the main library area.
3. 3 Eatables and drinks are not allowed inside the library premises and reading hall.
4. 4 Students are not permitted to occupy library seating during scheduled lecture or practical hours.
5. 5 College ID card is compulsory in the Library and Reading Hall and must be produced upon demand.
6. 6 Two library cards enable students to borrow up to two books at a time. Borrowers are responsible for all material issued on their cards.
7. 7 Books will be issued only upon presentation of a valid library card.
8. 8 Books are issued for 15 days and may be renewed if there are no pending reservations. Maximum of 2 consecutive renewals permitted.
9. 9 Late returns incur an overdue fine of Rs. 2/- per day per book.
10. 10 Reference books and current issues of journals/magazines are for in-house consultation only. Back issues may be issued for up to two days.
11. 11 If a book is damaged or lost, the borrower must replace it with a new copy of the same edition or pay the recovery costs.
12. 12 Loss of a library card must be reported to the librarian immediately in writing. A duplicate card can be issued for Rs. 25/-.
13. 13 Strict silence must be maintained in the Library and Reading Hall at all times.
